Movement Institute was founded on the principles of HEALTH, nutrition, and inspiring all bodies to move for a lifetime. It should feel good to move and enjoy life pain free. Simple movement should not be a chore.
Tracy Garcia, founder of the Movement Institute, is a licensed Manual Therapist and Somatic Educator. She combines her love of the human body and fascia research to promote anti-aging possibilities. For over 20 years she has helped professional athletes, special needs clients as well as the weekend warriors and people that just want to improve their own health and wellness without the traditional, repetitive gym routine.
At our movement practice center, we help people recognize their body’s natural healing abilities. Through the understanding of fascia, nervous system health, nutritional education, and how inflammation can be a preceptor to damaging diseases, the Movement Institute helps people feel good about themselves.
Competitive and recreational athletes also learn the value to treat and understand how self-care goes a long way in improving their game. Veterans and retirees can also help themselves with feeling differently, especially when it comes to balance, stability, and agility.
The Movement Institute provides therapeutic care for all bodies both in private and group settings. We have developed targeted Movement classes such as miYOGA, miCORE, miSOURCE, and miMOOV. Movement Therapy (MT) and Clinical Thai Bodywork (CTB) appointments are typically one hour long and are private sessions designed to improve the efficiency of body movement.
